Structures Modulmax is looking for a rigorous and analytical person to fill the position of accountant. You will be responsible for the full accounting cycle and will contribute to the reliability of financial information as well as the financial monitoring of our construction projects.

Your role

You will take charge of current accounting operations, monthly and annual closings, the preparation of financial statements, and project-specific follow-ups. You will collaborate with management and internal teams to support informed decision-making.

Main responsibilities:

• Take charge of the full accounting cycle.

• Prepare and track customer invoicing.

• Record supplier invoices and prepare payments.

• Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.

• Prepare adjusting and closing entries.

• Perform monthly and annual closings and produce financial statements and management reports.

• Prepare government remittances and validate payroll data.

• Ensure follow-up of accounts receivable and overdue accounts.

• Track costs per project, work in progress, contractual holdbacks, and budget variances.

• Collaborate on the preparation of budgets and cash flow forecasts.

• Prepare year-end files.

• Contribute to the improvement of internal controls and accounting procedures.

Required profile:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, accounting sciences, or a related field.

• CPA designation, an asset.

• Minimum of five years of relevant experience.

• Mastery of the full accounting cycle and the preparation of financial statements.

• Good knowledge of project accounting.

• Very good mastery of Excel and accounting software.

• Knowledge of Maestro and the construction sector, assets.

• Very good mastery of French.

• Mastery of English, an asset.
